“I’m paddling to inspire fellow cancer patients to incorporate exercise in their healing process.”
On August 20th, 2016 I plan to be on the starting line of the SEA Paddle NYC, a 25-mile Stand-Up Paddle board event circumnavigating Manhattan. A formidable challenge for everyone, let alone for a Stage IV lung cancer survivor. You can learn more about my journey in the short video to the right.
The primary goal for my participation is to inspire fellow cancer patients to incorporate exercise in their healing process and to raise money for groundbreaking lung cancer research.
I am able to continue my active lifestyle thanks to MGH’s groundbreaking research which is credited for identifying the most treatments for lung cancer. The MGH team continues to discover additional treatments, which in turn allows lung cancer patients and survivors to enjoy a prolonged, high-quality lifestyle.
