I started training for the Transrockies back in December 2014, with a 30 min walk/jog consisting of one mile walk, one mile jog. I constantly suffered from injuries due to muscles and ligaments weakness caused by chemotherapy. In addition to weekly strength training and Yoga I incorporate ELDOA Method exercises introduced to me by my physical therapist, Terry at SomapfitPT. ELDOA (Étirements Longitudinaux avec Decoaptation OsteoArticulaire), or myofascial stretching and articular pumping of the Spine, is a revolutionary technique that strengthens and normalizes function of the connective tissue for the spine and specific joints throughout the body. Very odd postures, but very effective.
